Denise leads JRF’s £20m Social Investment programme. Prior to joining JRF in 2020, Denise served as Interim Portfolio Director at Big Society Capital. In her previous social investment roles at Numbers for Good and the Breakthrough venture philanthropy fund, she supported social enterprises across the UK in sectors including health, employment and homelessness with funding, as well as business and financial advice. Before moving into the social investment sector, Denise completed her MBA degree and CFA charter and worked for nearly 15 years as a financial institutions specialist at the World Bank and Merrill Lynch.
