Public attitudes to housing
A review of existing evidence on public attitudes to housing.
This paper was commissioned to contribute ideas to JRF's Housing Market Taskforce. It aims to facilitate discussion by highlighting public attitudes to a range of key housing issues that are currently being debated.
The paper examines:
- public attitudes towards housing tenure;
- public attitudes towards neighbourhood and property types;
- perceptions of housing taxation; and
- the implications of the evidence for reforming the housing system to support vulnerable households.
This report is part of the public attitudes topic.
