Framing numbers, statistics and the economy to talk about homes
The latest webinar in our Talking about Homes series explores how to effectively frame numbers and statistics, and how to talk about the economy and our homes
Statistics and numbers can be useful for supporting our communications, but they can’t tell a story alone. There are many numbers, such as homelessness data, housing benefit costs, percentage price rises, that we use to try to convince the public of why we need changes to our housing system. Yet no matter how compelling a statistic might seem to us, it’s unlikely to change hearts and minds when left adrift and unframed. Or worse, it could be misinterpreted and end up telling a different story about homes entirely.
