Next Frontiers in Funding, Philanthropy and Investment
With 50+ speakers and over 1000 attendees, we brought together innovators and changemakers across the philanthropic and investment worlds, to learn from one another, make new connections and discover ways we can influence greater change, together.
We returned for a second year of our funding, philanthropy and investment conference – Next Frontiers - Unlocking resources in this time of crisis and possibility.
We want to preserve the radical ambition of 2022’s conference, exploring approaches in investment and philanthropy that are actively challenging practices that prop up aspects of current systems that are not serving people and the planet well. We highlighted financing and funding practices that have the potential to invest in - and even speed up - a transition towards a regenerative, fairer future. We platformed people who are thinking deeply about the edges of practice and thinking: new vehicles for building economic democracy, post-endowment philanthropy, and who are looking for ways to influence where resources flow in the Great Wealth Transfer. We are explicit that a commitment to doing radical and ambitious work needs to be as accountable to transformative, liberatory and system-shifting intentions, as it is to equity and justice.
Nwamaka Agbo, was our keynote speaker. Nwamaka is the CEO of the Kataly Foundation and Managing Director of the Restorative Economies Fund, her work is deeply committed to supporting projects that build resilient, healthy and self-determined communities rooted in shared prosperity.
The partners for the 2023 conference were: Lankelly Chase, ThirtyPercy, Guy’s and St Thomas’s Foundation, Be The Earth, Good Ancestor Movement, Blagrave Trust and the Impact Investing Institute. Resource Transformation also joined us for the co-design sessions.
This was a sell out in-person conference with many having to join virtually instead.
